A list of AFL clubs who could be in a position to make a move to the finals in 2017 could soon be unveiled.
While some clubs may be waiting to get their ducks in a row before they can put money on them, the likes of Richmond and Collingwood could have the potential to break the all-time winless streak of the Power and the Hawks if they reach the finals next year.
The Power have a lot of history and it has been their best season since the turn of the century, but there is a chance they will need a change of scenery in 2017.
In 2014, Collingwests run to their first Grand Final since 1998.
They lost to Greater Western Sydney in the grand final, but they were not out of the hunt for that elusive grand final win.
While the Power are a lot more familiar to fans of the game, the Hawks are another club that could be worth taking a look at.
The Hawks will be without Aaron Sandilands injured shoulder in 2017, but their squad is built for the future.
They have had a lot to do over the last few years, but are now looking to build a team that is ready to challenge for premiership glory next season.
If Collingcys roster is as strong as the Power’s, they could well make it into the finals.
They will also have a young player who could become one of the most exciting players in the game.AFL teams are set to release their draft order this week, so it will be interesting to see how the Hawks have been ranked.
Collingwic have a strong chance of finishing the season with the top four and the Power could well be in the mix if they make it.
