With the new U.S. president, the world is looking to the U.N. Security Council to bring peace and stability to the region, a sentiment echoed by the Russian ambassador to the United Nations.
“There is a lot of work to be done.
We have a lot to learn,” said Ambassador Alexander Lukashevich, speaking after a Security Council meeting on Monday.
“We are ready to go, and we’re ready to move.”
Trump has said he wants to “bomb the shit” out of ISIS, which the United States has long accused of using chemical weapons against civilians.
“I’m the one that’s going to go in, and I’m going to do it, and you know what?
I’m not going to be stopped, because I’ve got a lot going for me,” Trump told Fox News on Tuesday.
“The United States is a great nation, and a great country, and it will go to hell in a hand basket.
So I’m the guy who’s going in, I’ll take care of it.”
